Run pseudocode or Python in the Playground

Write Cambridge pseudocode or Python, run it with inputs, see a trace table, and get examiner-style error messages.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Choose the language

Where: Playground → Pseudocode | Python

Pseudocode follows the Cambridge guide strictly (every variable DECLAREd, typed, set before use). Python is real Python 3 running in your browser — the first load takes a few seconds.

    Open this screen
  2. Step 2: Start from an example

    Where: Examples

Search the library or filter by level and category; loading one fills the editor. Reset puts it back as it was.

  3. Step 3: Give it inputs

Where: “INPUT values (one per line, used in order)”

Each INPUT (or input()) takes the next line.

  4. Step 4: Run

    Where: Run (⌘/Ctrl + Enter)

Output, Trace table and Identifiers tabs show what happened. In the trace table, Test me — fill the table myself lets you practise and Mark my table.

  5. Step 5: Fix errors

Where: Error box → Ask Z to fix it

Errors give the line and what the examiner would say; amber notes are things that run but would lose marks. Ask Z explains the fix.

  6. Step 6: Share or translate

    Where: Address bar / Translate

The page address holds the example you loaded — copy it to share. Translate turns pseudocode into Python, VB.NET or Java.
