Two papers. Paper 1 is about computer systems — data, hardware, networks, security and emerging tech. Paper 2 is where you think like a programmer: algorithms, pseudocode, databases and logic gates.

AS Level
Paper 1 covers the theory: data, hardware, processors, system software, security, ethics and databases. Paper 2 is pure problem-solving and programming with CAIE pseudocode.

A2 Level
Paper 3 goes deep: floating point, protocols, RISC/CISC, virtual machines, encryption and AI. Paper 4 is the on-computer practical exam — data structures, OOP, recursion, file handling and exception handling.
