For parents & guardians

See how their Computer Science is going.

CS with ZAK is a free revision site for Cambridge O Level, IGCSE and A Level Computer Science. With your child's invitation you can follow their progress from your own phone: which days they studied, how each topic is going, and a short email every Sunday.

You get this because Ali linked you to their account. Stop these weekly emails.

Step by step

Ask your child to invite you.

It takes them a minute on their account page. You never need their password, and they stay in control.

    1

    Your child invites you

Signed in on the site, they open Account → Parents & guardians, type your email and press Invite. Nothing happens without them.

    2

    You open the email

Sign in with your own email address: we send a six-digit code, there is no password. The invitation works for 14 days.

    3

    Accept, and that's it

Your child is told when you accept. The summary is there whenever you open it, and a short email arrives every Sunday.

Show them this: the parent view guide walks through each button.

The parent view

What you see, and what you don't.

A read-only summary worked out from their own study on the site — the same numbers on the website and in the app.

You see

  • Which days they studied, their streak and XP
  • How they score on each topic — quizzes and real past-paper questions
  • The topics worth a little more time, with ideas of what to say
  • Results they sent to a teacher from a class paper

Plus a short email on Sundays, like the example. Switch it off from the view or the email.

You never see

  • Their Ask Z chats
  • Their written answers and paper work
  • Bookmarks and Discussion Corner posts
  • Their email address

Your child can remove you on their account page at any time, and you can stop following too.

Free and safe

Free for every student, always.

No sign-up to start, no paywall, no adverts and nothing to buy for the revision itself.

Every resource

Notes for every topic, video lectures, sorted past-paper questions that mark themselves, quizzes, flashcards and labs where code actually runs. No sign-up, no paywall, no adverts.

Ask Z, the AI tutor

Teaches Computer Science, and answers your questions and your child's about universities, admission dates, studying and this site. It turns away only what is unsuitable for a school student. Each student has a daily allowance, every answer has a Report button, and its chats are never shown in the parent view.

Exam dates, in your time zone

The exam countdown and the Exam Planner show each paper's date for your country, and can add them all to your phone's calendar.

At home

How to help, without being the teacher.

You don't need to know any Computer Science. Small, calm habits help most.

Ask them to teach you one thing

Pick a topic from the weekly email and ask them to explain it in two minutes. Explaining is one of the best ways to learn, and you don't need to know the answer.

Ten minutes beats a long session

The Today card on their dashboard suggests three small tasks for the day. A short, regular habit helps more than a long night before the exam.

Notice the effort, not the score

A topic marked “worth a little more time” is useful news, not a bad grade. Ask what made it tricky and whether Ask Z or a video helped.

Put the dates where you'll see them

Add the papers to your calendar from the Exam Planner, so the timetable is a shared plan rather than a surprise.

Classes with ZAK, if you'd like them

ZAK also teaches small groups in Karachi and live online, plus one-topic weekend classes. Joining is optional and never changes what is free here. The admissions team answers on WhatsApp.

FAQ

What parents ask first.

Does anything cost money?

No. Every note, lecture, past paper, quiz, lab and Ask Z is free for every student, and nothing free is ever moved behind a payment. ZAK's classes are separate and optional.

Can I see my child's progress without them knowing?

No. Only your child can invite you, they are told when you accept, and they can remove you at any time. We think that trust is part of what makes the view useful.

Can I see their Ask Z chats?

No. The parent view never shows Ask Z chats, written answers, bookmarks, Discussion Corner posts or their email address. It is a read-only summary.

My child doesn't have an account. Do they need one?

Not to use the site: progress is saved on their device. To invite you, they sign in with their email (a code, no password), which also syncs their progress between phone and computer.

Can I stop the Sunday email?

Yes, from the parent view or the one-click link at the bottom of every email. You can still open the summary whenever you like.

Is Ask Z safe for my child to use?

It teaches Computer Science and answers study, university and site questions, and it turns away anything unsuitable for a school student (adult, violent or political content, cheating in a live exam). It has a daily allowance per student, and every answer can be reported. The AI policy and privacy policy say exactly what is sent and how long it is kept.
