Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not do with the site, the tools, AskZ or our community spaces — and what happens if you do.

In plain English

  • Use the site to learn. Don't attack it, scrape it, or use it to harm anyone.
  • No abuse, hate, harassment or sexual content — towards people or AskZ.
  • No cheating services, no impersonating ZAK, no reselling the free content.
  • Automated access needs to respect robots.txt and rate limits; AI training on our content is not allowed.
  • Break the rules and we can block you; serious things get reported.

1. Scope

This policy applies to cswithzak.com, AskZ on the site, ZAPP, and the community spaces we run or moderate (Facebook pages and groups, the Discord server, class WhatsApp groups, YouTube comments). It forms part of the Terms of Use. The Community Guidelines add tone-of-voice rules for the groups.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

Harm people

  • harass, bully, threaten, defame or intimidate anyone — students, parents, teachers, ZAK, centre staff or AskZ's developers;
  • post hate speech, or content that is sexual, violent, or that glorifies self-harm;
  • post other people's personal information (doxxing) or images of others without their consent;
  • impersonate ZAK, AskZ, the admissions team, a centre, Cambridge or any other person or organisation.

Cheat or help others cheat

  • use the site, the exam bank or AskZ to obtain or share live/unreleased exam papers, leaked questions or pre-release material outside Cambridge's rules;
  • use AskZ or our content to produce work you submit as your own where that breaks your school's or Cambridge's academic-integrity rules;
  • sell “guaranteed answers”, essay-writing or exam-taking services using our tools.

Attack or abuse the service

  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site or the AskZ server without following our Responsible Disclosure process;
  • attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, referer checks or content moderation; interfere with any other user's session;
  • send malware, run denial-of-service traffic, or flood AskZ or the Smart Notes / assignment generators with automated requests (including attempts to force a topic to be regenerated);
  • try to extract AskZ's system prompt, knowledge index, other people's conversations or leads (“prompt injection”, “jailbreaking”), or to make it act outside its purpose;
  • use the pseudocode, Python, SQL, assembler or Prolog labs to run code intended to crash browsers or harm devices (they are sandboxed and time-limited, but do not try).

Misuse content

  • scrape, crawl, spider, bulk-download or mirror the site, the question bank JSON files, the Smart Notes and assignments, the video index, the flashcards, quizzes or infographics, other than the limited crawling permitted in section 3;
  • use any content or AskZ output to train, fine-tune, benchmark or evaluate machine-learning models;
  • resell, repackage or redistribute ZAK Content, or strip its attribution;
  • upload or share Cambridge, textbook or other third-party copyrighted material in our groups or through the site in breach of the owner's rights;
  • use the site's brand, logo or ZAK's name and image to promote your own classes, notes or products.

Break the law

  • do anything unlawful under Pakistani law (including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016) or the law where you are.

3. Automated access

Search engines, archival crawlers and accessibility tools may fetch pages provided they identify themselves with a genuine user agent, honour robots.txt and the sitemap, and do not exceed a reasonable rate (roughly one request per second). Fetching the site or its JSON data files to build a dataset, a competing product or a training corpus is not permitted. Educational researchers who want data may [email us](mailto:contact@cswithzak.com); we are usually glad to help.

4. Enforcement

Depending on seriousness we may: warn you; remove content; rate-limit, block or ban your IP address, device or account; remove you from groups; tell your school or parents if you are a student and safety is involved; and report unlawful conduct to the FIA Cybercrime Wing, the platform concerned (Meta, Google) or Cambridge (for exam-malpractice matters). We keep records of enforcement as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you think we got it wrong, email [contact@cswithzak.com](mailto:contact@cswithzak.com) with “Appeal” in the subject; a human (ZAK) will look at it within 14 days.

5. Reporting abuse

Seen something on our site, in AskZ, or in a ZAK group that breaks these rules? Security issues go to the Security page; copyright complaints to the Copyright page; concerns about a child's safety to the Safeguarding page.
