Community Guidelines
House rules for ZAK's Facebook groups and pages, the Discord server, class WhatsApp groups, YouTube comments and ZAKATHON.
In plain English
- Be kind, be on topic, be honest. It's a classroom, not a battlefield.
- Help each other — but no sharing of leaked papers, pirated books or other people's paid material.
- No spam, no advertising other tuition, no politics or religion debates.
- Admins can remove posts and members. Three strikes, or one serious one, and you're out.

1. Where these apply
The O Level Computer and A Level Computing Facebook groups, the O Level and A Level pages, the CS with ZAK Discord server (where AskZ, an AI, answers /askz questions in public — it can be wrong; check the mark scheme), ZAK's YouTube channel comments, class WhatsApp groups, ZAKATHON venues, and any other space ZAK or the admissions team run. Each platform's own rules apply too, and the Acceptable Use Policy applies everywhere.
2. Do
- Ask questions — any question. Explain your reasoning; show what you tried.
- Answer others generously and cite the syllabus section or mark scheme when you can.
- Post past-paper questions by reference (paper, session, question number) and discuss them; link to the Past Papers page rather than uploading files.
- Share your results, successes and struggles; celebrate others'.
- Use your real name (or the name your school knows you by) in class groups so ZAK knows who is who.
- Report posts that break these rules to an admin.
3. Don't
- Bully, mock, harass or discriminate — including “jokes” about someone's school, grades, gender, religion, ethnicity or background.
- Post or request leaked, live or pre-release exam content, or anything that would be exam malpractice under Cambridge's rules.
- Upload pirated textbooks, other teachers' paid notes or Success Pack contents. Cambridge past papers are linked, not uploaded.
- Advertise other tuition, apps, services or “guaranteed A*” schemes, or DM members to sell anything.
- Post political, sectarian or religious argument, or anything sexual, violent or hateful.
- Share other members' phone numbers, photos or messages outside the group.
- Spam, chain messages, off-topic memes in class groups, or “good morning” floods.
- Impersonate ZAK, admins or centre staff.
4. Moderation
Joining the Facebook groups means answering a few membership questions (which course you are preparing for, your school and city, your exam series) and agreeing to these rules; requests that leave them blank or do not fit the group are declined. Posting is by approval: every new post is held until an admin approves it, and posts that are off the syllabus, advertise other tuition, ask for leaked or live papers, or come from brand-new or repeatedly-warned accounts are declined — some of that automatically by Facebook's own group rules — with a short message saying why. Members who keep spamming or advertising are removed.
Admins (ZAK, the admissions team and appointed student moderators) may delete posts, mute or remove members, and turn off comments, at their discretion and without explanation. Typically: a warning, then a temporary mute, then removal; serious breaches (leaks, harassment, adult content, safety issues) mean immediate removal and, where a student is involved, a message to their parent or school. Removed members can appeal by email to [contact@cswithzak.com](mailto:contact@cswithzak.com). Admins' decisions on the platform are final.
5. Privacy in groups
Groups are private spaces; screenshots of other members' posts should not be shared outside them. ZAK may share anonymised student questions or answers as teaching material. Members' data on the platform is handled under the platform's privacy policy (Meta, Google, Discord), not ours. The Discord server is open, so treat what you post there as public.
