Sit a strict exam

What happens in a strict exam your teacher set: one attempt, a clock that never stops, nothing else open — and what your teacher is told.

5 steps about 3 min Students

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open the link and sign in

Where: Your teacher's link → Sign in

Only signed-in students can sit it. If it is set for your class list, join the class first (Account → My classes).

  2. Step 2: Start

Where: Room code → tick the promise → Start the exam

Type the room code your teacher reads out (a class-list exam needs none). The clock starts at once and does not stop; in a fixed-time exam it is the same clock for everyone.

  3. Step 3: Answer

Where: Each question, on the paper

Type, tick and draw as on a past paper. Answers save as you write. If your device freezes, restarts or loses its connection, open the link again on the same device and press Return to the exam — nothing is lost, and your teacher can give back the time you missed. A dead device? Your teacher can move you to another one.

  4. Step 4: Lock when you are sure

    Where: A question → Lock

A locked question can't change. If your teacher allows it, its mark appears a few seconds later.

  5. Step 5: Hand in

    Where: Submit → Yes, submit

At 0:00 your paper is handed in as it stands. Marks show as your teacher's rules allow — provisional until your teacher releases them.
