Open AskZSteps
Step 1: Open it
Where: Bottom-right AskZ button (or the AskZ page)
Opens a chat beside the page; it knows which page and topic you are on. Many pages have their own Ask Z… buttons that start with the right question.
Step 2: Ask well
Where: Composer
Say the paper or topic and what you tried. Ask it to mark an answer, quiz you or explain a mark scheme. Enter sends; Shift+Enter adds a line.
Step 3: Send a photo or a file
Where: Composer → 📎 (or 📷 on a phone)
A photo of a question or a whole past paper (PDF, Word, text). It reads the paper and can answer “question 3(b)” about it. Guests can send a few photos a day; documents need you to be signed in.
Step 4: Speak and listen
Where: 🎤 Voice typing / Read aloud under a reply
Both use your browser's own speech features.
Step 5: Your chats
Where: Header → New chat / Chat history / AskZ settings
History stays in this browser only: search, pin, rename, download or delete. Settings set auto-delete, text size and whether Enter sends.
Step 6: Daily allowance
Where: Under the composer → “Today: x of y messages”
Every student has a daily allowance that refills at midnight Pakistan time; signed-in students get more than guests.
