Step 1: Mark with a rubric
Where: New work → My own questions → a part → Blank rubric, or a template
Give a part two to six criteria, each with two to five levels and a band of marks; the top levels add up to the part. Start from the 9618 Paper 4 style program or the O Level 2029 scenario, then change anything. My questions keeps the rubric with the question.
Step 2: Move a level on the desk
Where: The desk → a student → the rubric grid
AskZ picks a level for each criterion and a mark inside its band. Press another level to move it: the mark becomes the nearest one in the new band and the move is in the work's log. Typing a mark under Change the mark replaces your levels.
Step 3: Read the class's mastery
Where: The class → Mastery
Each student against each syllabus bullet, from marks you released on papers in the last 90 days, as strong (70 percent or more), steady (50 to 69) or needs work. Filter by paper or by AO. Held marks never count, and Where to focus next reads the same figures.
Step 4: What a student sees
Where: The class → Grades
Their own row only, and the rubric grid with released marks. A student may tick Count my own quiz rounds on this site too: their sub-topic quiz results then count as well, and you see that they chose it. It is off unless they switch it on.
Step 5: What a parent sees
Where: The parent view → Class work
The bands for each part of the syllabus, never a number.
